Since January 1973 the Rotary Club of Lindisfarne has been an integral part of the Lindisfarne and Hobart’s Eastern Shore community.
Helping support a wide variety of projects and worthy causes, including local schools and community organizations.

Our people make the difference.

The Club is made up of local like minded and community spirited men and women who want to make a difference in this modern world by giving freely of their time to help others who are not as fortunate and also to support the younger generation through educational programs and support.

Local and International focus.

As well as local projects we support several overseas projects including the eradication of polio through a partnership with Bill Gates and the UN. We are also supporting students in Nepal by funding scholarships.

 

Rotary International.

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community members. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries. Clubs are non-political, non-religious, and open to all adults.

The Rotary Club of Lindisfarne is one of 48 Rotary Clubs, with approximately 1,500 members that form Rotary District 9830 - (Tasmania) Rotary Clubs can be found in most major towns in Tasmania.
